Unfortunately, the NBS will not be conducting the Buckskin classes at the Barastoc Horse of the Year Show in 2012.

This has come about as the cost of running the classes has increased significantly.

Apart from minor increases in some of the costs, additional fees have been imposed, but the main factor was the requirement for us (the NBS) to have a Public Liability insurance policy of $20 million - ours is currently $10 million.

The extra cost of this insurance for this one day is in the order of $1400.

The NBS Committee has been trying to negotiate this issue, but has been unsuccessful.

Hopefully for the following years, the costs will not be so high.
